STORIES OF SERVICE

This project, led by the Birchip RSL Sub-Branch, brings to life the stories of our local men and women who served in the armed forces.

Local families are encouraged to share photographs, letters, service records, and memories with Birchip RSL Members Noeline Hogan and Deb McLoughlan, who are helping preserve these personal histories for future generations.

Four community members, each representing one of the four major wars, will feature on specially designed story boards at the Birchip Soldiers’ Memorial Park. Their stories reflect the courage, resilience and spirit of our district across different generations of service.

Each board will include a QR code linking back to this page, where visitors can explore the full collection of stories, images and reflections contributed by our community.

Together, we honour their service and ensure their stories continue to be remembered and shared.

Honour Roll

Located inside the Birchip Public Hall, the Honour Roll boards proudly display the names of local men and women who served our nation.

Each name reflects courage, sacrifice and Birchip’s strong tradition of service - a lasting tribute for all who visit to pause, remember and reflect.
